Our white BBQ sauce is a mayonnaise-based sauce with a hint of horseradish for a kick! This regional sauce from northern Alabama goes great with chicken, turkey, seafood and salads. It also puts a new spin on your favorite pork, beef and lamb dishes. Try it on a baked potato, substitute it for mayonnaise in your next chicken salad or get crazy and mix it in with ground beef for an epic burger experience.
Recipe Notes: Romesco can be made several days in advance; store covered in the refrigerator until ready to use. Leftover sauce is delicious on grilled vegetables, buffalo, venison, wild boar, tossed with pasta, or even in a sandwich.

The Bonus Requirement column is the same as what is shown in the Judge's panel during Battle. Both bonuses and penalties can be locked, or temporary. Locked bonuses/penalties are permanent during the Battle. Only temporary bonuses/penalties can be replaced by sauces. The duration of temporary Flavour Bonuses/Penalties will decrease after every Dish, while that of temporary Ingredient Bonuses/Penalties only decreases after a Dish that contains that specific ingredient.
The Sauce column shows the effect of the sauce applied by the opponent. These effects work on the subsequent 2 Dishes, not on the Dish during which the sauce was applied. Not all effects are available to you (ex. Nechromuncher).
Wondering however since this time I will not have time tomorrow morning to make it all fresh as I have done countless times, so I am using your tip for cooking pasta and sauce separate, then assembling tomorrow morning for heating. Wondered if the pasta also needs to be heated up a little or if you just usually throw in cold? I am just worried about the pasta getting dry!!! Any further detail would be appreciated. thank you SO much for sharing this amazing recipe!!!

Crispy tortilla chips coated in hot melty cheese are hard to resist. This recipe takes the mundane out of typical appetizers and is a must on game day. Nacho cheese sauce using real cheddar and everyday pantry items tastes way better than grabbing a jar of bland store-bought stuff.
The biggest hurdle when melting cheese is preventing it from turning into a hard clump once cooled. It needs a stabilizer to keep the sauce smooth and emulsified. I prefer to add a controlled level of cornstarch to create a physical barrier. Coating the shreds prevents the protein and fat from clumping back together and tasting greasy.
Yes, however, the texture will be slightly grainy and not as thick. All-purpose flour is more coarse and contains proteins and starches. The proteins like to form gluten bonds, which thicken the sauce but not be as smooth as purified cornstarch. Use the same amount of flour as cornstarch. If you add too much, the taste will be very gritty.
What makes nacho cheese sauce so popular is the gooey texture, savory taste, and just the right amount of lingering heat. For zing and spice, add hot sauce. The tomato, chile peppers, and vinegar give a pleasant pungency. You can use your favorite brand to customize the taste.
Canned pickled jalapenos add extra spiciness and hot pepper flavor. I chop it up until very fine so that it easily mixes into the sauce. You can also use green chiles or chipotle chile in adobo to switch up the flavor. For a chunkier consistency, add salsa.
Evaporated milk contains two ingredients that may be unfamiliar. Dipotassium phosphate prevents the milk from turning into curds when heated. Carrageenan helps stabilize, emulsify, and thicken milk products. During testing, I noticed a more creamy smooth texture when using evaporated milk than whole milk, which gave a thinner consistency. It made the difference! You can substitute milk, but the sauce will be runnier.
Want to turn your holiday roast from basic to epic? Check out this easy recipe and follow my tips on how to prepare an epic Coffee Crusted Prime Rib Roast. I hope it inspires you to get together with family and friends, celebrate life and go #MakeSomedayHappen one delicious bite, sip and trip at a time!
Place the roast, ribs down / fat side up, in a heavy stainless-steel roasting pan. Some suggest using a V shape roasting pan, however, I set mine on top of thick onion slices instead. The rib bones act as a natural rack and the onions add to the flavor, plus they make for a great side sauce.
I added red pepper and hot sauce, doubled the recipe and used this as a stir fry sauce! Served it over rice with lo mein noodles, onions & green peppers mixed in. My husband had requested it for a second week in a row! 2b1af7f3a8
